Georgia is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a degree in Psychology. Georgia meets with clients and does group talks; sharing her story, uncovering and resolving issues with food, wading through the dieting BS and advocating for balance and moderation in peoples lives.
Her passion and dedication for working with clients to achieve this balance and moderation is the driving force behind all GH Nutrition does.
Through Georgia’s own personal struggle with an eating disorder she has built her brand with powerful authenticity.
Her unhealthy relationship with dieting, food and body image isolated her from her family and friends.
Having put in the work Georgia has now reclaimed these; building them into a brand steeped in genuine purpose. She has built her food production team around a beautiful community of hard working women in her life.
The wholefoods products are made with love and all by hand. Every product recipe has been revised, tested and sampled by the team. Every ingredient is measured, portioned, blended, mixed, or rolled by hand on a Monday. Playlist on and the team gets down to business fulfilling all the orders for the week, including cafes, local supermarkets and POP!
Practicing what they preach, the GH Nutrition team take turns preparing a meal for the whole team; finding balance and moderation together as a community.
How long have you been a dietitian & nutritionist? Why did you start making products?
I graduated in December of 2018 and since then have hit the ground running! I started the food side of my business back when I first started studying nutrition. I was asked to do a nutrition talk to a group of women and was SO nervous! I thought I would distract them with delicious granola and since then I haven’t stopped making it (literally the same secret recipe). I used to make all the products myself in my parents kitchen and deliver before and after uni, my car was always filled to the brim with my food products. This year, my goal was to grow the business and grow we have! We now make from a commercial kitchen with my dream team (best friend and Food Production Manager Winnie, my Mum, her friend (now my good friend), and my boyfriend’s Mum) and we are now in over 30 local stores and counting.
Why is local shopping important to you?
I think now more than ever I appreciate the effort that goes behind a local business. When you buy locally, you’re not just buying a product, you’re also buying someone's story.
What is your favourite part of producing your health food range?
The reason I started studying nutrition was because I had an unhealthy relationship with food in my late teens, and wanted to be able to help and prevent others from going through similar things. Specialising in eating disorders, I recently had a client tell me she purchased my muesli and couldn’t remember the last time she was excited to have breakfast, we both shared a little tear. There is no better feeling helping people find peace with food, even more so through my own food range.
What’s next for GH Nutrition?
Well….that is on the hush hush, let’s just say I am not one to switch off. What I can tell you though is I am about to move into a beautiful office space in Manuka. This will be a haven for people to come, cut through dieting BS, and make peace with their bodies.
What is your favourite spot in Canberra?
Lake Burley Griffin. Beautiful any time of the year and a place where I do my best thinking (and talking).
What have you been binge watching?
Selling Sunset…I hope this is a judgement free space!
We aren’t judging at all Georgia, we have all been there…
Georgia also gave us a recipe that is a client favourite!

"Muffins have the benefit of being suitable for breakfast or as a snack any time of the day. This basic muffin recipe has been made healthier by substituting for wholemeal flour for added fibre, oats for slow burning energy, yoghurt for a calcium boost, olive oil for healthy fats and the berries for added natural sweetness."
